of from Fox News and Tucker Carlson?

The Obama people did something thats never been done...They spied on a rival presidential campaign. Would it be OK if Trump did it next? I am losing faith that our system is on the level. Im beginning to think it is rotten & corrupt. Scary stuff Obama did. @TuckerCarlson DOJ

New Poll - A majority of Americans think that John Brennan and James Comey should have their Security Clearances Revoked. Not surprised! @FoxNews

(62,444 posts)Seriously. Did they just give up on briefing him at all?
It would seem to be pretty irresponsible for the intelligence agencies not to be producing a comprehensive daily brief for him - whether he pays attention to it or not.

(22,037 posts)Consider that the women and men in the various intelligence agencies are professionals who love our country and continue to do their very important work. If their client doesn't learn from them and doesn't absorb their information, that doesn't negate the value of their work. What would you do with a client who doesn't value your experience and knowledge?
I know a former CIA agent and a staffer from the NSC and while they've never divulged anything important, their seriousness of purpose and patriotism are obvious. It's anecdotal, I admit, but I hope that all of these Americans have similar dedication to country and plow ahead doing their jobs. They've worked for different presidents and still see the importance of their work.
At one time, I had a boss in the music business who was like Trump: ignorant, uneducated, incurious and profoundly biased. I eventually learned to just keep my head down and focus on my work because reality was plainly in front of us and I wouldn't be bamboozled by that stupid man. Obviously, I left when the right opportunity presented itself.
Trump is such an anomaly that it's hard to find comparisons. I mean, even Hitler had his daily briefings! Since all of the intelligence agencies know Trump, they probably continue to write their reports, even if it's just for their files. After all, they are professionals and the world keeps turning. Their work continues even if Trump is too stupid to learn about it. Eventually, he'll be gone, one way or another and the successor will need to learn about the world.
