He supported HRC, and is supported by Senator Sanders, suggests to me an ability to work together, which, it should be clear, is absolutely necessary for us to succeed.

Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum finally laid his 2016 cards on the table, endorsing Hillary Clinton for president less than 30 days out from Florida’s March 15 primary.

“Hillary Clinton has put forward an agenda focused on moving our nation forward – and building on the tremendous progress made by President Obama. Her experience and legacy of leadership speak to the kind of purpose-driven President she will be, and the kind of commander in chief the American people deserve,” said Gillum in a prepared statement.

“As a Mayor, I understand the importance of bringing real and pragmatic solutions to the issues that face our communities. Hillary Clinton has put forward innovative ideas focused on making college more affordable, raising incomes for working families, restoring balance and fairness to our criminal justice system, and addressing issues of climate change,” said the first-term Democratic mayor and former city commissioner.

“Hillary Clinton is the change-maker this nation needs. I believe she stands first and foremost for American progress, and I know she’ll make a real difference in the lives of the people in Florida and all over the country.”

That separates him from the Sanders camp. He is, however, running on some pretty progressive ideas. Hopefully he can inspire very high Democratic turnout in a state that typically favors Republicans in mid-term elections.

We need to use the next couple of months to push registration drives in the minority areas of those states. There should be a natural boost in interest. And even if not all of those candidates win this time there would be a payoff down the road.

I imagine the Parkland group will help Gillum in Florida

Stacey Abrams in GA started that push long before she announced her run for Gov. A major problem is voter suppression which is happening in GA as well as many other states where minority voters are expected to be a decisive factor. Voter rolls are being purged and polling places closed or hours limited to prevent and discourage minority voters. The republicans have spent decades perfecting the practice of stealing elections by any means necessary.

I hope the enthusiasm generating by these candidates and others will lead to turnout in such record numbers that the elections can't be stolen. GOTV and vote Democratic!

can get that and other messages through to numbskulls in GA and FL. That would be a big win. I know Abrams is pushing Medicaid expansion, that was a no-brained for any state not run by white wing fools.

Don’t know much about other two, except they are Democrats and won primary. That’s enough to get behind them.

GOTV and let’s win some of these important races.
