My students have started watching the news because I have led them that way. They are paying attent

I told them to be sure to pay attention this week as dotard will be pulling a lot of stunts to get the attention on him since the nation will be focused on McCain as it rightly should.

Once student asked me if 45 really said he liked heros that were not captured?

I said sadly yes. Even in 8th grade students showed their disgust for that.

There is hope! The new generation is not lost totally.

We do them a great service when we find ways to let them know that, and to begin to take ownership.

A high school freshman came by my house last week seeking funds for special project at my old high school (fifty years ago). Since it was for my school, and since he had valid credentials, I chipped in a few bucks. Then I asked him if he knew who Betsy Devos was. He said no, so i told him, and asked him to do some research about her for his class. He said his teacher would support his research, and that he would do it.

I hope for his sake he does.

I remember reading someplace that it also tends to make people more liberal in their thinking. Good job!
