Indeed, it simply reinforces the collective sentiment of his petulance.

But seriously, if you're distracted by non-critical news items, or events lacking national or international consequences, there's a wonderful book I read my freshman year of college called, The Research Journey: Introduction to Inquiry by (Can't remember first name) Rallis.

It's a wonderful text which instructs one how to not merely think critically, but also how to think about multiple problems and concerns without losing a sense of priority.
