Saw your little Academy Award level sobbing about your "good friend" John McCain. Maybe while pretending to choke back tears and pontificate about honor, and decency, and sacrifice... you could actually DO SOMETHING to truly honor your "mentor".
See Jeff, we can all act sad and somber, but actually doing something takes more than fake tears.
You think maybe John would want you to...oh I don't know... put the fucking breaks on the piece of shit in the White House.?
You actually have the ability to fucking do something. You and Collins and Murkowski and Corker and Graham and any of the other fucktwit Retrumplicans that actually give a shit about McCain could fucking stop this fucking nightmare, but that takes courage. We all know that shit doesn't exist anymore in the Retrumplican party.
So go ahead and shed your fucking tears Jeff. Bottom line is they don't mean a God damned thing.
I'm sure John will forgive you for having a chance to do something to stop a clown that isn't qualified to carry his jockstrap... and doing NOTHING.
So, like I said...go fuck yourself!

right on that. She stands up for dump except when it came to her father, then she would attack the orange idiot. Wish she was more like her dad when it came to that idiot.

(24,122 posts)but, that should have nothing necessarily to do with caring about Sen. McCain. As just one small example, you do know Sen. McCain supported Dotard's nomination of Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court... no honor in that. While I'm sympathetic to the family, let's not go overboard in lionizing the guy... he was still a Rethug after all. But, for now, go ahead with all the pleasantries, some of which I can sort of understand given McCain's hatred of the Nazi occupying the White House. I'll hold off sayin anything regarding the death and destruction spread by McCain until AFTER his funeral, out of minimal respect, nothing more.

Having lived in Phoenix years back, I always said Arizona is the Australia of this Country. Its where we send our criminals, the insane, and the criminally insane.

(20,998 posts)...gestures and genuflections that don't amount to shit... Courage to really do the right thing? Not. so. much.
This is what gets me: He's an Arizona boy, just like me. He's LDS, kinda just like me (me: gay jack Mormon--big time), but we were both raised with a definite emphasis on doing the right thing, even when it may be painful, even when it may not be popular. Senator Jeffy Flakey* doesn't quite want to connect the dots between courage of thoughts and courage of deeds. NO ONE in their right mind thinks Donald Trump* is good for this Country. Hell, the rest of the planet knows tRump* is not good for the rest of humanity. But unfortunately, those that are in a position to change our Country's direction don't seem to give a shit.

(37,648 posts)As you can see, there is no appreciation for speaking out, is there? Your own party excoriates you, and so does the opposition for not doing enough. It's a no-win situation. At least he said something, which is more than almost every other Republican has done. And he did so, when he was going to run for re-election.
