https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2018/08/24/roger-stone-aide-andrew-miller-resisting-robert-mueller-pkg-murray-vpx.cnnMore immunity deals. And it looks like Roger Stone himself may go down since they're avoiding talking directly to him. The Steele dossier directly implicates Roger Stone and Roger Stone has openly talked about communicating with Gufficer 2.0 and WikiLeaks.
This is huge because they gave immunity to his long time friend and aide who Stone would have told secrets to, and the aide said that they had to plead the 5th because they would implicate themselves. Stone's aide likely got mummerings of the Trump campaign getting hacked emails and it would just continue putting the pieces together.

(83,898 posts)We have to do everything we can so it doesn't happen again. In part that means massive turnouts.

(297,645 posts)..for Roger Stone. Whose Karma has come home to roost, baby!
CNN ...legal experts debating indicting a sitting Prez! Hot dayum, we are going there!!!!!!! We are actually talking about it.
Cha
(297,645 posts)the whole thing has been so surreal..
I don't know why a sitting "president" (read Fraud) shouldn't be indicted since no one is above the Law.
Yet here we are....yikes.
My head is spinning. I can barely keep up without a serious injury from whiplash.
CNN is now talking about the legality of indicting a sitting President.

(62,276 posts)...he looks guilty as sin. And another observer said that Stone always skirts legality of stuff.
So if Stone doesn't cooperate, and he clearly has something to hide, he will wind up in jail.
And all indications are that he's a total loyalist.

(30,761 posts)The video and the article did not say much of anything. It was a rehash of previous information.
If he was granted immunity, it may be of a limited sort. I will not start to cheer until we have more information. Remember, Miller refused to testify previously, and was held in contempt. For all we know, he is still negotiating for immunity, or for the best deal he can get to stay out of jail for contempt.
We need much more information than what was provided!

(14,565 posts)There's a graphic late in the video indicating the aide received immunity, but the correspondent never says that and I don't see the information anywhere else. Quite the contrary. Earlier reports a couple of weeks ago indicated the aide was defying Mueller and refusing to appear.
I think an employee at CNN got sloppy and ran a misleading graphic, and then either the same person or another employee was equally sloppy and used the bad info for the header of the video link.
Damn

(62,276 posts)This may be why there aren't many threads about it. I'll let this sink.
