Please beware. Russia will try to gaslight you.
Their big spin is that the anti-russian sentiment in the US is hysteria.
Steadfastly ignoring all the evidence that exists that Russia indeed meddled in the US-election.
* Like the hacking traced back by US and Dutch intelligence to the russian hacker-group IRA.
* Or the Trump Tower-meeting with a Kremlin-connected lawyer, where Trump and Trump Jr. have both admitted that it was about getting dirt.
* Or russian trolls inventing US-citizens and US-organizations like the "grassroots"-group Heart of Texas, the "rightwing-blogger" Jenna Abrams or the Youtubers 'Williams and Kalvin' to create anti-Clinton sentiment.
* Or russian strolls straight-up impersonating the "United Muslims of America" on Facebook to paint HRC as an enemy of Muslims, using the good reputation of the already existing "United Muslims of America".
F**king google it. It's so easy to find evidence for russian meddling.
My point is: Beware of gaslighting.
A popular current propaganda-technique of Russia is to take one tiny misdirected outrage and blow it ouf of proportion. If one liberal gets outraged over Russia where no outrage is warranted, that's blown up as evidence that all of the anti-russian sentiment in the US is nothing but hysteria, insanity and stupidity.
To be clear: Beware of gaslighting.
It is entirely expectable that Russia will intentionally plant fake stories and fake outrages precisely to make you freak out and to ridicule the whole notion that Russia has ill will towards the US.
