...it may be difficult to get a fair trial anywhere in this country?
The country is so divided that jurors, or potential jurors, are willing to overlook the facts and the evidence in the trial, simply for partisan advantage, or because they refuse to do anything that might reflect poorly on their Dear Leader.
Justice is left wanting.
We dearly hope that is not the case. But, if they cannot get a guilty verdict in the Manafort case, it would not be a good indicator.

Means a couple of things:
Jurors in district take law enforcement seriously
Judges in district dont let unsubstantiated charges go to the jury
Prosecutors know what theyre doing in weeding out weak or biased jurors
All of the above
Voir dire in federal court is different from state, and limited, but I have to believe prosecutors knew the political affiliations of everyone on the panel and struck any of the crazies
