When it comes to the actual funeral for this great woman, there will hardly be a dry eye in the church, especially when Barack Obama gives his Eulogy.

She just burst with excitement and gratitude. The combination of her excitement and Pres O's empathetic support for both women got me choked up. I love them all so much. Remember when our American leadership was beautiful?

I could have totally done without Carole King's histrionics. One would think she'd never heard Aretha sing the song before. I wish they'd just left the focus on the performance...……….the fabulous Ms Franklin's performance, that is.

For me, I enjoyed seeing Carole King’s reaction because she’s obviously blown away at the honor of having Aretha Franklin sing that song in her presence on that night. What a lovely thing for Aretha Franklin to do when asked, and the joy of Carole King‘s reaction made me smile. So much better than Carole King sitting back and quietly smiling.
