Shows how much they cared in the first place. Did they cover it because they were worried about the kids and thought it was a terrible thing for the US government to do? No. Did they cover it to get ratings? Yes.

1. The democrats in Congress have been neutered. We can call them, but what can they do?

2. The republicans in Congress are traitors. We can call them, but what will they do?

3. Like me, the average American doesn't have the resources to travel to one of the detention centers & protest for weeks or months, living in a hotel.

I don't offer these as excuses, but as reality.

I was hoping to hear more about it since it seemed strange...

They said that over 300 parents who were deported don't want their children to come back to their home countries to be reunited since it is too dangerous for them to be there and that was the whole point of immigrating to a safer place. They are going to stay in the US in foster families or with relatives. I don't know how many are in detention camps alone still.
