Trump on Brennan Security revoke, isn't this Obstruction?

Last edited Fri Aug 17, 2018, 03:23 PM - Edit history (3)

from WSJ interview

“I call it the rigged witch hunt, (it) is a sham,” he told the WSJ. “And these people led it! … So I think it’s something that had to be done.”

He is more or less saying: "I am shutting people up who are part of the investigation." How is that not obstruction?

This is also clearly a threat to others with Security Clearance who might testify.

On Edit:
I am told this is witness tampering, not obstruction. Still a crime.

So it would be a stretch to try and get a conviction for obstruction.

He revoked their clearances which means they can work with classified information anymore. But they can talk their heads off just as much as they did before.

even though maintaining clearance is merely a "courtesy", i think this still amounts to retaliation, so brennan might have a civil case.

but why would donnie care about that, especially because even if brennan won, all it would mean is the federal government has to pay him money. doesn't keep donnie from doing anything.

Since you put that sentence in quotes where is it coming from? It is not at the link.

I see where you're going with this, and I can get on board a little, but it's still a very long shot. I don't think he would have a case.
