Donald Trump is having a historic night, in the sense that he’s posting far more tweets, and far more ridiculously incoherent tweets, than he perhaps ever has. The pressure has clearly gotten to him, and what little might have been left of his coherence has now fully snapped. Trump has ranted about everything from Hillary Clinton to a “gong” tonight, and now he’s going berserk about Sean Hannity.

First he quoted one of his longtime political lackeys while attacking former CIA Director John Brennan. Then he quoted one of his legal lackeys while trying to blame Hillary Clinton for his own crimes. Then he tweeted “WE’RE NOT GONG” in all capital letters when he meant “WE’RE NOT GOING.” But as it turns out, that was just a mere warm-up act for what would come next.

Trump posted this quote from Fox News lie-teller Sean Hannity, who is himself wrapped up in the Trump-Russia scandal: “I’d strip the whole bunch of them. They’re all corrupt. They’ve all abused their power. They’ve all betrayed the American people with a political agenda. They tried to steal and influence an election in the United States.” Hannity was presumably talking about stripping security clearance from everyone who has ever criticized Trump. But some respondents pointed out that without the proper context, Trump made it sound like Hannity was talking about simply stripping everyone’s clothes off.

So there we have it. It’s now approaching midnight on the east coast. Donald Trump has posted five insane tweets in the past two hours – six tweets if you count the “gong” tweet, which he deleted. He’s clearly the most rattled he’s been in a long time. This can’t simply be because of how poorly today went for him. He must either know, or fear, that a huge bombshell is about to drop on him in the next day or two. And to top it all off, he’s quoting Sean Hannity of all people. Next he’ll be quoting Benedict Arnold.
