Kristol notes Trump statement today referred to consititutional authority. So did signing statement

Trump added to the defense bill he signed earlier this week.

Kristol's tweet:




Trump bases his action against Brennan on his "constitutional authority." Is Trump laying the predicate for firing Mueller using his Article 2 constitutional authority, regardless of DOJ regs specifying the special counsel has to be fired by the AG (or in this case the DAG)?
