Is that he's really fucking stupid. And he's surrounding himself with stupid sycophants who just want to tongue the Cheeto. Look at Kelly, destroying what was left of his reputation. And Ghouliani, who was always a carnival huckster to begin with.

However, there is someone in there who is smart enough to write that signing statement yesterday. It's very long and complex. Very specifically saying that Russia is allowed to keep Crimea etc.

Who is that? Who is smart enough to make these judgement calls? Scary stuff.

If you do? you let your guard down.

I feel there are too many republicans who have been compromised, and they are not stupid (excluding Nunes), and the orders come from Putin, who is definitely not stupid.

Beware, be very aware because the USA is prime territory for Putin, his dream to be "greater" than "Peter the Great"...Just imagine "Vladimir The Great", conquered the USA, Canada, and Europe...wow! Don't you want to read that biography? I don't!

And he can do it if the idiot and the other republicans, who I have to believe are compromised big time, enable it.

Sooo...do not underestimate any of them, evil can do harm very fast, and when you least expect it, you are in line with other Americans waiting for your chance to buy what is left in the supermarket.

take people's mind off the upcoming midterms by either (1) starting some little war or entanglement w/ some country or (2) declare some stupid national security issue w/ regard to something happening, and then do something in response by canceling midterm elections (so he'll retain power longer).

If he does something stupid as postponing or canceling the elections, then I would hope that someone would remind him that even during the cold war, the Korean war, WW1 and WW2, elections were still held.

I also hope that he doesn't attempt to seize additional powers (as he did w/ in so called obtaining the right to enact tariffs when Congress has this right (I think, based upon posts I've read here on DU)), and do something else that none of us here have thought of yet.

If he does so, I hope (1) he gets thrown in jail for the consequences of his illegal, gerrymandered war which will probably kill innocents for no further reason other than to justify some stupid action of his.

People are starting to realize what he is actually capable of doing now, especially now that they all have seen what's he has so far...scary and I hope that others (especially the repugs in Congress) realize this, and soon.

He had at least enough sense to keep most of his worst instincts and behaviors out of the public eye. He was both more clever and strategic and more controlled, and he understood the machinery of government well enough to perform competently the ordinary work of the presidency. There was no sense at all of his administration spinning out of control until the Saturday Night Massacre.

I should know that. I am from that era - when the lottery wasn't referring to winning money, but whether your had a high number birthday or a low number.

I heard on NPR the other day that until and unless we reinstate the draft, we will be in constant war somewhere in the world. It's just too lucrative for the MIC.

That or a massive heart attack. I would pray for that but I am an atheist. Omarosa's book has a page that says he had some sort of health issue that required his doctor one day. My fingers are crossed I will hear this news ASAP...Liberation Day!

I heard of Reagan getting shot while a freshman in art school. We young Dems celebrated in the halls. That celebration would be nothing compared to the moron being "unable to perform his duties" any longer.

ability to. We are in fact dealing with someone who has as his closest advisor Vladimir Putin, and we all know his history and the goon power he wields in geopolitics. We know what has kept Putin in power, and that dotard has steadfastly refused to secure our democratic system of voting. Without a legitimate election and Democratic control of Congress there will be no checks on his despotic ambitions or his goal of negating the Russia investigation. Sure he is becoming increasingly frantic, and therefore more likely to make a mistake that his Republican accomplices will be impossible to overlook. That is my hope until the blue tsunami materializes.
