(6,377 posts)I might say that if we don't hear by the end of Friday, I'll be nervous. The evidence is so overwhelming that it should not take more than at the very most, two days.

You should consider that maybe the reason you think the defense didn't put on a great defense is because they didn't have one.

if convicted. Maybe going to trial is his version of "fight like hell" even with a losing hand.

(7,725 posts)Malaise, I hope Im wrong...but, the mob has been paying off jurors a long time. Jury tampering happens. I just hope they care about their country more than money. Honestly, if they were approached, the money they'd make on the story itself would dwarf the payment to get them to sell their soul. I hope to Gods we start getting some good news.

(9,070 posts)but not guilty on all counts. They will go for the tax evasion, but not the loan - they will just say the bank deserves to lose the money.

(11,098 posts)The judge would not allow the prosecution to "publish" documentary evidence to the jury when introduced (something I have never seen a judge do). Instead, the judge determined that the jury could not have the documents until it retired to deliberate. I think the result will be that the jury will want to actually read all the documents.
If deliberations begin on Thursday morning, I bet it takes at least until late Friday for the jury to reach a verdict on all the counts. Given the judge's insistence on getting home in time for dinner, I would not be at all surprised to see deliberation go into Monday or Tuesday.
