Gringrich was perhaps the most brilliant political tactician of our time when it came to elections and winning. His Contract with America swept republicans into office in 1994 and has given us today's minority party rule as a result.
We need our own version with bullet points that american people will support in huge numbers.
- Healthcare Bill of Rights
- Student Bill of Rights
- Environmental Bill of Rights
- Immigration and Border Bill of Rights
- Economic Bill of Rights
- Taxpayers Bill of Rights
- Investing in America (Infrastructure) Bill of Rights
- 2nd Amendment Owners Bill of Rights
- Women and Family Bill of Rights
so easy to develop a cohesive election strategy around these that can work across America

(401 posts)We have the policies that people support but we tend to get bogged down in the wonky details.
The Contract with America was a brilliant move and there is no reason that we can't produce something as good or better.

(16,113 posts)I think the most effective item the republicans had on their list was the one where congress had to live by the same rules that they passed for everyone else. In practice, that didnt really happen, but its the sort of common sense thing that even people who dont follow politics can easily understand and agree with.
