I don't want Sessions removed.

Dump is obviously trying to get him to resign so he could appoint another to rid himself of the Mueller Investigation. Hence his sporadic tweet attacks. Much as I hate to say it, he, Sessions, is protecting Rosenstein. Why? Motives.

1. Sessions could have stayed in Congress and retired as an esteemed "model"

2. Vengeance. Trump has repeatedly embarrassed him.

3. Save his ideology. The aftermath of Trump has the capacity to destroy his and others like him, views for at least a generation..something his ilk have worked for a couple of generations since Johnson to nourish back. Thus putting them back at square one. Of course, that ideology is the "superior white race".

4. This is the most unlikely...duty to country. He's holding out to get Trump removed and is cock blocking him from ransacking the Justice Department.

If you ask me, 1, 2, & 3 play a role in his head. If indeed #4 is included or the sole reason...it won't come out until he's dead and buried. Even then, the other reasons may play a role. But in the end, Trump is everything they ever wanted and everything they didn't want.

And Putin is laughing. He played our decades old domestic issues against us like a fiddle. Even if we recover, damage is done. Due to a significant portion of the populace, the USA is no longer reliable in international affairs...and sad to say, many on the right think this a good thing...and some don't even realize they are directly affected.

They talk "MAGA" without realizing the US was already great, to quote a racially charged comedian "when Mexicans stop wanting to come to America, then you know things are fucked up here"...and yet we are spiraling to that exact scenario, illegal immigration has been waning long before Trump. When people don't want to immigrate to your country, you are in a world of hurt. And whose to blame? Ourselves.

...although I'm sure he'd use a term more like "honor."

Think about it: He was one of the first to back Trump. He gave him respectability among mainstream Republicans. And, yes, I'm sure he did some of the dirty work vis-a-vis the Russians. Anyway, Trump convinces him to give up what was a virtual lifetime Senate seat, because he "needed" him at Justice. And then, suddenly having Trump turn on him and attack him continuously for merely doing what any conscientious attorney general would do, and recuse himself from a case in which he was involved.

In short, Sessions found himself treated much the same as countless people in dealings with Trump over the years: used and then discarded in the most callous possible terms when no longer of use to him. The difference between Sessions and every small contractor who got stiffed for payment without the resources for a lawsuit is that Sessions has the capability to make things very messy for 45. And there's every sign that's just what he's doing.

2. Sessions is the Peter Principle personified.

This is as high as he'll ever get in government because he's incompetent at it. And he knows it. In the civilian world I don't think even Fox News will hire him as a contributor.

Plus, as AG he gets to pursue his lifelong obsession to destroy marijuana use.

Sessions...

McConnell and Ryan have most likely said if Seesions is fired (and perhaps extends to Rubinstein and Mueller), trump should prepare to vacate the Whitehouse.

The only reason and right now Sessions is saving our republic

It will come on the same day he announces he is running for his old senate seat.

Alabama's favorite son is coming home. He will beat Doug Jones by an enormous amount. Many people outside of Alabama don't recognize the honor and prestige Session has earned in that state.

draconian policies that have been on his mind for decades. If that means he has to put up with donnie being an asshole, I'm sure he considers that a small price to pay.

the law....Although he has some of his own twisted interpretations. It is possible that he knows deep inside that Trump has and is acting criminally. Even through his eyes. Perhaps this could be good for us. Perhaps he knows more Trump horror than we think he does. After all, he did recuse himself.
