Twitter has suspended far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones from its platform for one week.

The news was first shared by an InfoWars personality, who tweeted a screenshot of Jones' Twitter account -- indicating the company limited some of Jones' account features temporarily.

A Twitter spokesperson confirmed the authenticity of the screenshot. The spokesperson said the content which prompted Twitter to suspend Jones was a video published Tuesday in which he said, "Now is time to act on the enemy before they do a false flag."

On Friday, one day after a CNN investigation found that Jones' Twitter accounts appeared to have repeatedly violated the company's rules, Twitter said the accounts belonging to Jones and his fringe media organization InfoWars would remain online...

EDIT ADD: Why not ban him forever? Hopefully this will result in that.

Juanita Jean's son is suing Alex Jones on behalf of two different plaintiffs. I hope that Alex Jones loses both lawsuit. The fact that Jones has been banned by youtube, facebook and other social medial outlets is great

2. Why there are any Democrats, progressives or liberals on Twitter is crazy to me

Just saw an interview with Twitter's CEO...man if anyone fucking screamed "Alt-Right" it's this guy.

Why give them out money, or our time.

I will NEVER have a Twitter account, or give them one-thin-dime of my money.

3. Many of us are on Twitter

and it is the best way to get news.

I'll say this much, it is an incredible platform in an emergency situation, such as tornadoes. It is faster than anything else. Wars and revolutions have been fought & won using it. Egypt for instance.

Twitter has its purpose and there is literally NO BETTER WAY to stay in touch with our reps and have the abilty to have an actual conversation with them. That alone makes it worth a lot.
