This Trump/Omarosa breakup is funny and all, but I'm telling you: This is a Trojan horse.
The news media seems all too happy to take interviews from her and play those "tapes" because it appears to make Trump look bad.
Meanwhile, Omarosa is quietly laying the seeds of doubt that he's out of touch, and therefore couldn't possibly be guilty of collusion.
She's Oliver North, y'all...

(1,660 posts)The point of all this is that John Kelly fired Omarosa and Trump knew nothing about it.
The same way the Russians tampered with the election to help Trump---and yet Trump knew nothing about it. Thus, "no collusion."
The same way Reagan knew nothing about the Iran-Contra affair.
Better to look like an idiot and keep your job than to look like a strong leader and be impeached.
Let's just say I hope I'm wrong....
...I just don't think I am.

(3,148 posts)It is reality TV basics. Start a late summer feud between two BFF.
Same reason I don't totally trust that Michael Cohen is flipping on Donny. Trump has been telegraphing that Obama was tapping him. Of course, the two people who were actually taping him happen to be two of his closest friends.

(1,660 posts)I know this Omarosa thing smelled fishy from the word "go."
First the conflict as to whether she was fired (yet was able to serve a full year and collect a pension), then a year later here comes the "tell-all" book that could actually end up insulating Trump from Mueller?
The more I think about it, the less I like it...

So he'd still be impeachable. Really highly doubt that this would be an effective legal defense, too. If it didn't work for The Chin, it won't work for Trump, and he'd never go along with it anyway.

RUDY GUILLIANI is the guy's attorney now. You listen to him and wonder who's knob did he slob in order to pass the Bar.

(10,129 posts)We all have a hard time handling the non-stop BS coming from this admin, but this admin has to spend all of its time spinning that F Donnie's constant incompetence, corruption, lies, cheats, cruelty, mistakes, etc etc etc. Not feeling sorry for them, but I think they are in constant reaction mode. Another one of the 1000s of reasons that they are unfit to serve.
Mueller in the meantime is not distracted and still chipping away at the evidence.

(1,660 posts)...dumb enough to even CONSIDER trying something like this?
Most of their argument is that they did not know it was illegal (not a defense) and that any politician would have tried it in the name of opposition research (lie). Who else would do something like this? That's what I mean by "far out conspiracy."
