What if the Trump N word/anti-semitic tapes drop on 10/28/18 ?

It would be two years to the day that Comey sent his letter to Congress that he was reopening the HRC e-mail investigation.

What would Republicans in swing districts and purple states say ?

What could they say ?

The last white person I heard use the N word was Mark Fuhrman and that was in the O J trial. DemocratSinceBirth Aug 2018 #5

It will get his supporters to the polls and a whole bunch of racists to come out and vote for him

Both within his family, as well as with Israel.

As for the "N" word, we'll get a lot of, "Do you ever listen to that "rap" music? They use that word all the time." That will do little except create a media storm.

Most people won't give two shits about it, and that includes a few RW Jews and members of the RW Israeli government. Just like the left loves to overlook/ignore its anti-Semitism, the right is just as cognitively dissonant when it comes to anti-Semitism from within their own ranks. As a generality, most people don't understand anti-Semitism, nor do they care to understand. As for what people think of Jews, well, I have my opinions on that too, and it isn't pleasant. So, the racism will get more of a reaction than the anti-Semitism, from both sides.

I seriously don't think Trump could have a lower approval with the African American community; I think racist whites hope he'll drop an n-bomb; and I think the usual suspects will say what they always say during the 1-2 week media firestorm.

Back to your point: since his SIL and daughter are Jewish, I do suspect that any anti-Jewish comments he were to make will be defended in the usual manner - "I was making a joke - how could you possibly think I was serious?"

Like you, I feel the "bombshell" of that POS using a racially abusive term would be nothing more than a dud. My point was more that a racially bigoted term would carry more weight than an anti-Semitic one for the ones you call the 'usual suspects' and their outrage. No doubt that if a racial "bombshell" emerges, assholes like Paris Dennard would "defend" the POS and make excuses. If it is an anti-Semitic one, I doubt they'd even bother to trot out someone to "defend" him. Who'd care?

They'll be too busy bitching about the kneelers, and no doubt calling them the N word

I never like to lose sight of the applicable terrain.

Yes, I would love to hear Al Michaels try to squirm around the N-word issue on Sunday Night Football. Currently scheduled to be Saints at Vikings.
