How do we defend ourselves against this sort of thing, other than depending on DU members to ferret it out??

(13,424 posts)Those are enough reasons for anyone to identify the tweet as not coming from the real Peter Strzok.

(24,128 posts)those two things were added sometime after the tweets were made. The first time I looked at it, they were not present. So the hero who set up that account had second thoughts and added them later.

(844 posts)Originally , just 32 minutes or so after it was posted the account did not say it was parody.
It was first @_peterstrozk
I know because I saw it that way, after it had been liked by others I follow.

(24,128 posts)The parody part was added, of that I am sure, but also the "@" part was altered. I sometimes have to second guess myself because I want to be thorough about sources.
Thanks.

(24,128 posts)Second, I doubt that an FBI agent would behave that way after just getting fired (especially referring to Trump as a Russian asset),
Third, the account was activated last May with no activity until today,
And Fourth, the "parody" part was added just after those tweets were made.
I didn't notice any of these at first, however.
