Has this summer seemed long and tiring to anyone else?

It has just been brutal on my anxiety level. I talked to my doctor about it the other day, she said I was not alone. Hopefully limiting my time online and watching news will lower it some. I just wish Mr. Mueller would hurry up......

bitching about Trump. She's a woman of color and mentioned she was worried for her son. She advised me to stop watching so much news. LOL.

As far as temperatures go. I have noticed that and very little rain. Lawns are drying out.

We live in an area surrounded by wildfires. We are fortunate that our own town has not gone up in flames, but the smoke has been hideous. We have had 17 days with hazardous air quality and that has added to the oppression that I feel. I was getting sucked into the vortex of all of the bad news out of the White House and it was awful. So I have limited my online time and I have decided that obsessing over the Orange One's antics were not helping me.

We have a toxic Repuglican Congressman (Greg Walden) and I have taken my anger and energy and turned it into efforts working to elect Jamie McLeod-Skinner to take his place.

And find things that make you laugh! Take care of yourself. We need your spirit.

Hopefully no on cable or satellite as I cut the cord on them a while back.

I love fractured fairytales and Sherman & Mr. Peabody.

I emailed him a question about something (probably ACA/medical related) a few years ago and several months later I received a staff-written letter with some mumbo jumbo BS answer. It had several grammar errors in it, so I corrected it with a red pen and mailed it back. I guess that was on the passive-aggressive side of things, but it felt good!

We are hoping that Jamie can reach the voters in Eastern Oregon - she's from there - but I don't know. We are working hard.

In Springfield.

My wife and her sister had tickets to the Shakespeare Festival a few weeks back but decided to stay in Brandon instead, so thick was the smoke where you are. We love your town.

except for the smoky summers. We are Bay Area transplants. Retired now. My daughters played basketball at Ashland High School and I think we played in Springfield. I miss those days. Now they are both out of college and on their own. Sadly, when I told them that they could go to college anywhere, they DID! Both of them are now on the East Coast. Little rats.

During my annual check up, when asked about my overall well being, I mentioned the Traitor. He told me to limit my exposure to the news. The rude heat or rain in the Philly ‘burbs have limited my opportunity to ride my bike. No, you are not alone. November will be here soon,

But those features of this summer are only going to get worse with climate change.

I've made several quarts of pickles and plan on making more. Then I started on my yearly salsa canning fest. 17 quarts so far. I need to make one more batch and then it's on to making jam. I've got fresh frozen peaches and plums that I'm hoping will make a nice combo jam. And fingers crossed that stevia will make a good flavor like it does with blueberries.

Also, I've always got a good book on the beside table to keep me busy. And we also subscribed to Acorn TV so I can watch British tv shows. Mysteries are my fave.

I like to sew and crochet but haven't felt the urge at all this summer. But with autumn on the horizon I've got some little projects planned.

If I don't take action to keep occupied I could have the tv or Free Speech TV or WCPT radio on all damned day. Not good. Better I engage in nurturing activities. Even taking a walk, which is free, is better than non stop "breaking news". Meh to that.

Good luck taking charge of your time and that you feel better real soon.

I just finished two projects and have pretty much got a third to the point where I am ready to start up another company in 4-6 months. So for me, being focused on those things has helped tremendously. I also like to experiment in the kitchen with food, trying different and unique combinations of techniques, seasonings, preparation techniques, that helps during times when I am at home reading or watching news feeds. And lastly, I stopped reading most Trump tweets a few months ago and I never watch him on television.
