http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/401508-aides-regularly-tell-trump-not-to-call-foreign-leaders-at-odd-hoursWhite House aides must regularly tell President Trump not to call foreign leaders at odd hours due to time zone differences, according to a new Politico report about Trump's multiple "diplomatic faux-pas."
Sources close to Trump told Politico the president often proposes phone calls with world leaders, including Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, at times when they would likely be asleep.
"When he wants to call someone, he wants to call someone," one source told Politico. "Hes more impulsive that way. He doesnt think about what time it is or who it is."
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told Politico that "foreign leaders appreciate that the president is willing to take their calls day and night."

I just figured that all of his phone calls were to friends and porn stars.

(10,137 posts)I finally got my relatives trained not to call me at 5AM ("Why aren't you awake yet? the sun's been up for hours!" .
But someone who's done business internationally - or claims to have had - should be a tad more clued in.

(4,191 posts)And we had to coordinate meetings across 15 time zones, so once a month somebody was up at 11pm for a meeting (we were good at timings). Now I work in a job where the home office is in Utah, and we have offices on the west coast and here in the central time zone and people in Utah still don't get why people in Texas don't accept meetings at 5pm their time...so I don't think it's unusual. I often get asked by them whether Texas is an hour ahead or behind Utah...
