Omarosa Manigault‘s very messy publicity tour for her upcoming book on the White House continued on Monday with an appearance on the Today show, in which she shared a tape recording of President Donald Trump calling her after she was fired.

Manigault shared a tape with NBC News of the president calling her following her firing in the Situation Room by Chief of Staff John Kelly, and expressing shock that she was leaving the White House.

“Omarosa, what’s going on?” Trump is heard saying. “I just saw in the news you’re thinking about leaving. What happened?”

13. Isn't this just par for the course for this White House?

No one should be surprised at the level of intrigue and deception taking place in this WH. tRump has shown himself time and time again very capable of putting on an act of sincerity and appearing as a character he believes his base will like. He can be nasty and hateful or smiling and innocent. An example is him acting surprised that Omarosa was “thinking” of leaving. She was as good as gone at that point and yet he acted (on the recording) like he had nothing to do with it. He is a master at manipulating people and taking on “personalities” to suit the situation is one of his tactics.

Omarosa obviously knew who tRump is since she has known him since 2004. She was just savvy enough to get him on tape and they were sloppy enough to allow her to get away with it. That is the problem with one low life hiring another low life to work in their domain. You cannot trust that person because they are not loyal to anyone. He should have known that, but he never realized that someone would turn the tables on him. It really is kind of funny to see this play out. They will eat each other alive.
