Disappointed in @washingtonpost 😞 This article is more nauseating than the headline - includes gems like calling Dinesh DSouza a "conservative firebrand" & quoting David Bossie, Kevin McCarthy & Sean Spicer - have unfollowed @PhilipRucker @AshleyRParker

(4,122 posts)He looks like hes expecting to finally make the cover of the LL Bean catalog. I ve known some Ken dolls that had more human grace.
A natural my ass. Nothing natural about that clown - everything about him is fake.
Who will rid us of this meddlesome family?

(135,838 posts)The Headline:
A natural: Donald Trump Jr. emerges as a campaign star, despite Russia baggage

(15,543 posts)Say it: despite massive, evil, darkside treason against America by Dirty Donny Junior* and the KGOP #republicanSurrenderMonkeys and their russian MONEYBUCK BAGMEN, he remains a kind of foppish fetish for a few republican freaks who are willing to swallow lies and stand by watching America get conned.

(60,010 posts)Don has proven to be a very good public speaker and was a very likable presence on the campaign trail,
Trump said in the statement to The Post. People like when he represents me in front of groups of people.
I always get a favorable response. .?.?.
Not Jr. getting a good response when Jr. speaks.....Memememe gets a good response, even tho Memememe isn't there.

@AshleyRParker
Don Jr. is highly controversial, traffics in conspiracy theories, and his meeting with a Russian lawyer at Trump Tower is the subject of Muellers probe. But among the Trump base, hes still a #MAGA superstar. W @PhilipRucker.

...and Rucker simply retweeted it, he didn't post one of his own.
I believe I've seen him on MSNBC....I'm not familiar with Parker, though.

(58,724 posts)They are the ones listed on the byline.
Ashley Parker identifies herself as "a senior political analyst for MSNBC" while Philip Rucker is a "political analyst for MSNBC".
I am surprised they would write an article like this (though I realize they likely didn't write the headline).

(18,837 posts)It's "Fox & Friends"-level journalism from the WaPo.
Once again I go back to the classic "Simpsons" episode in which EVERY employee of the nuclear plant has won the "employee of the month" award except Homer, and he is convinced that they HAVE to finally give it to him, and they end up giving it to an inanimate carbon rod. When Bart learns of this he asks Homer "Did you actually get to SEE the rod?"
And that's how I see Don Jr.'s "star power." The fact that he is popular with Daddy's base doesn't really mean a damn thing outside of that base. So writing an article about how the MAGA crowd loves him is garbage "Journalism" to me, something I'd expect to see on a "special report" on Fox & Friends.

(22,977 posts)I'd like to think they're fattening him up for the kill but until that happens I call "fluffer piece".
He's actually "educating" his audiences on the importance of keeping Republicans in power. Even daddy gets a few strokes in although he was hesitant against namimg him Jr. "what if he's a loser".
