After berating employees at this diner, this man, knowing he's being filmed, openly calls the woman a nigger - after first telling her to "shut her fucking mouth."

We need his full identity and confirmed place of employment.

getting the patient into the right position for the machinery to look at and then taking the 'picture' to get the images that a radiologist (who's a medical doctor) interprets and your personal doctor or specialist use to hopefully find a diagnose.

Words, and attitudes have consequences - and he has now paid a heft price for uttering words that ought not be on the tip of the tongue of any non-black person.

That said, the entire conversation (from anything I can hear well enough to transcribe) is a lesson in incivility - from both sides.

We absolutely need more people who see racist crap going on to document it. But being antagonistic and goading the racist isn't helpful. The videographer starte by being provocative for no apparent reason ("I hope you don't deal with children.&quot (I am sure the person filming noticed and exchange that needed to be documented - but she either didn't document it, or chose not to post it.) Further, after the man used the N-word (on his own), she repeatedly challenge him to "say it again."

It's much more persuasive to just document racists acting as they act in the wild, than to add to the incivility and become part of the story.

I have been tagging threads like this with #Civility because that way when your conservative friends / relatives bring up that the left isn't being civil to them, you can use these stories as a counter argument to their bullshit.

33. My point, in this particular video, is that the left was participating in an uncivil exchange.

Based on what I can see, there was no reason for her to comment about whether or not he is caring for children, to call him a son-of-a-bitch, (which occurred before he used the N-word), nor for her to egg him on to repeat the offensive language he had just used.

(Note: There may well have been an offensive exchange before the one videotaped - but it isn't shown or described, so the video starts with the person on the left being uncivil.)

...and she absolutely goaded him on, I don't think it's productive to speculate about what was not filmed. Indeed, that is going to happen regardless. There are plenty of instances where the filming starts after an escalation happens and people ask about "what happened before."

The question about what happened before an altercation can only be answered in witness testimony, and here we don't have that. The store employees don't tell us what led up to it and the dude that did it ghosted himself and isn't likely to explain his actions (because it'll look like he's defending himself).

Obviously something happened before the filming began. And obviously the guy is still a racist POS. Because she goaded him on doesn't mean she shouldn't produce the video and it doesn't mean we should feel morally obligated to point out her goading.

Had the videographer just filmed an altercation, I would be more inclined to agree. Videos like that often pick up after it is clear that something is going on - because it may well take a bit of time for someone to recognize there is something noteworthy to film. In those instances we don't know what happened before the video starts - but we do see the basic altercation from the point it starts gon.

Here, based on the video alone, the videographer is apparently staging a fight with a random stranger for the purpose of filming it, because no context is provided - and the person she is filming ONLY interacts with her.

Yes, the random stranger responds first by swearing, and second by using a racist epithet - clearly an inappropriate response that a person who is not inclined to use racial epithets would never make.

But I'm not a fan of wandering around picking fights (and filming them) to see if I can capture a racist response - and without context that appears to be what happened here.

We don't know. Humans are fallible, for all you know she intended to just film but was irritated by his actions and as soon as the camera started he told her to shut up, which caused her to respond in kind.

Thomas, a 35-year-old Brandon, Mississipp, resident, deleted his social media after he was identified by social media users. Before he deleted his Facebook page, he wrote a statement saying, “I am so sorry, there is nothing I can say that will change what I said. I drove back up there and tried to apologize and she had gone. I regret every word that I said there is no excuse to every say these horrible things.”

Thomas added in his Facebook post, “I only hope that by me sharing a public apology in this incident you could show me some grace. I was upset about another issue and it spilled over into this and I can’t apologize enough.”
