Rudy Giuliani's 'disgraceful' comments about Mueller could backfire on President Trump, experts say

“America’s Mayor” has fully become President Trump’s lap dog.(okay the article say pit bull)

Rudy Giuliani’s public offensive against special counsel Robert Mueller and his Russia investigation may not be sound legal strategy — but his showmanship could sway the court of public opinion, experts told the Daily News.

“His comments have been disgraceful,” said Sol Wisenberg, a white-collar criminal-defense attorney who was deputy independent counsel under Kenneth Starr during the Whitewater/Monica Lewinsky investigation. “He’s a lawyer and an officer of the court.”

Giuliani ramped up his provocative offensive last week, telling Fox News that if the special counsel's investigation is not completed by September, there would be a "very, very serious violation of Justice Department rules.”
There is no such rule.

Frankly I doubt he's going to change anyone's mind. He more reeks of desperation.

Hiding behind the mantle of protected legal counsel.

This isn't law he's peddling. It's obfuscation.

..."sway the court of public opinion"

Giuliani wasn't hired to represent Dump as an attorney, but hired as a public relations representative. In other words, they know the gig is up, it's just a matter of when. But in the meantime, hold on to power as long as possible and reap much of the rewards as possible.

Dump's first goal was to use the election to launch his own TV channel to compete with Fox...but that business plan went awry when he started to "win". So now, Giuliani is trying to paint Dump in a good picture, someone prosecuted by the media, Washington, etc. when the hammer finally comes down. he can use that to get what he really wanted, his own TV channel....no doubt Giuliani has been given some influence over that.

With that said, the fix is in. They've already secured a pardon from Pence for Dump and his family. And yes, there are still "state" crimes, but 10 bucks says they got a plan to tie that up indefinitely.

He was such a great mayor of New York, and did such a fine job of preparing for the terror attack on 9/11. You know, putting the Emergency Command Center in the World Trade Center after the 1993 attack, that sort of thing. And his leadership after the attack was remarkable. Could have required respirators at the attack site, but hey, minor details.
