There is a striking contrast between the scoldy, condescending tone of coverage of @Ocasio2018s budget hand-waving and the decade of credulous-verging-on-worshipful coverage of the same from Paul Ryan.
Ryan was actually *given an award* for fiscal policy seriousness based on a plan where *over 100% of the deficit reduction* was achieved through hand-waving.

Which is not controversial to his supporters or the people who vote conservative (even while a good majority of locally employed government workers are conservatives).
What is controversial is how Paul Ryan and the conservatives wanting to dismantle the government is completely asinine and a disaster.

They want to eliminate like 60% of it.
There are two ways to do it, 1) get the votes, which is damn near impossible, because most people like that 60% of the budget, or 2) bankrupt the country, causing a default on internal debt, and massive austerity.
