Here's one candidate I won't be supporting.....

‘I hate this county.’ Democratic House candidate convicted of DUI unloads on cops

A Democratic candidate for Congress in a conservative north Georgia district who was convicted this week of drunken driving challenged the officers who stopped him to a fight and repeatedly insulted the county he was running to represent.

Steven Lamar Foster boasted about how many times he’s been arrested and called the officers who arrested him “Barneys” in dash-cam footage of the September arrest obtained by The Dalton Daily Citizen-News.

“Eleven years I served this county,” Foster told police in the dash-cam video. “I hate this county. I prayed to God that he would curse it. And guess what? He did. Man, I saw it hit and cursed, and I saw people laid off right and left — white people. I hate this county ...”

Foster is challenging Republican U.S. Rep. Tom Graves in the northwest Georgia district, a deep-red bastion where Democrats have struggled to gain traction.

He's obviously an erratic jerk, but policy-wise, he's...
- pro DACA / DREAMERS
- pro Net Neutrality
- pro Universal Background Checks for guns
pro Environmental regulation

I will work with leadership to make our immigration laws more reflective of our country’s interests and ethical values, which must include protecting our DACA and DREAMers with definite path to citizenship.

I believe that everyone should have equal access. I would support reinstating the laws and policies of net neutrality.

Universal criminal background checks and prohibitions against certain criminal offenders possessing guns are just a couple of examples of restrictions that already exist in many states. In addition, I would support those who are seeking to re-impose gun purchase prohibitions on persons who are severely mentally ill.

I will fight hard to ensure our environmental protections remain strong and our wild spaces are preserved and remain intact.

He's an erratic jerk, but he claims to support the stuff that I like, so I'll ignore the erratic jerk part.

I'm all about supporting Dems, but we can do better than this guy - and need to make sure people like him don't end up as our only option.

I'd vote for him, since he's a Democrat, but I don't live in Georgia. He'll lose, though. My guess is that I'd hate that county, too, but I'd never live there in the first place.

I live in a nearby county and I would share his omnipresent angst.

Not endorsing him or his behavior, but when it feels like the whole world is conspiring against you because you're one of the good guys, it gets old. Real old.
