Giuliani on Muellers Request to Talk to Trump Under Oath: Come On, You Think Were Fools?
by Josh Feldman | Aug 8th, 2018, 10:08 pm
Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani appeared with Sean Hannity tonight to discuss the latest developments in the Presidents legal teams ongoing negotiations with Robert Muellers office.
The two men agreed that Mueller is running a totally illegitimate investigation, with Giuliani wondering where where the special counsels sense of justice is.
When Hannity brought up the latest request from Mueller and Giulianis desire to see this end by September, Giuliani said, I think if it isnt over by September, than we have a very, very serious violation of the Justice Department roles that you shouldnt be conducting one of these investigations in the 60-day period.
He said they offered Mueller a form of questioning with the President, but went on to say this:
He knows the answers to every question that he wants to ask. Hes going to ask em, Did you tell Comey to go easy on Flynn? The president will say, No, I didnt. Hey, Bob, you know it. Why do you want to get him under oath? You think were fools?
Giuliani added that its clearly a perjury trap.

(82,849 posts)For example, if the crime happened so long ago that the statute of limitations has run, a prosecutor will set up a perjury trap for a well-respected person who doesn't want his reputation besmirched. "Isn't it true that your name is on the client list and that you frequented Mildred's House of Ill Repute?" That was years ago, and you can't nail me for solicitation anymore, but I don't want to sully my good name; I say "No." Out comes the client list and testimony from some of the sex workers at Mildred's, and now you're in trouble for lying to the prosecutor.
Anyone think Trump hasn't committed perfectly prosecutable crimes for which there is ample, public evidence? Giuliani may not be a fool, but he sure thinks his supporters are.

(6,386 posts)Issue is that he's right on this point. My guess is that if you ask his supporters to define perjury trap, half of them with say "when the government asks you a question you don't want to answer".
The other half will say "a small wire cage to catch perjuries...damn they're good with bbq sauce"

But, we have heard that when there is a "target" in an investigation, subpoenas are not given to "targets".
Is that the information they are looking for??

OrangeTurd is a pathological liar. Hes mentally ill. He will perjure himself if he is ever questioned under oath.
