11-Year-Old Girl Accuses Father of Waterboarding Her

(CNN) -- A Delaware doctor and his wife were arrested this week after their daughter told authorities that she was punished by "waterboading," police said.

The 11-year-old girl told police that her father, pediatrician Melvin Morse, would hold her face under a running faucet causing the water to shoot up her nose, the Delaware State Police said. The punishments happened at least four times over a two-year period and the girl's mother, Pauline Morse, witnessed some of them and did nothing, police said.

Morse specializes in near-death experiences in children and wrote a book about the subject called "Closer to the Light" in 1991.

"In hundreds of interviews with children who had once been declared clinically dead, Dr. Morse found that children too young to have absorbed our adult views and ideas of death, share first-hand accounts of out-of-body travel, telepathic communication and encounters with dead friends and relatives," a reviewer wrote about the book.

What's the big deal? We all know this isn't "torture."

...that piece of your mind that says, "So where in Hell did this outrage happen" before you click on the thread and read the OP.

Anyone who had Delaware gets a huge payout from the pool, a deluxe 7 night "sun, suds and fun" getaway at your choice of Rehoboth, Dewey, Bethany, or Fenwick Island; and a guided tour of the Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. Conference Center nestled in Cape Henlopen State Park - one of our finest state parks, and the only one that might be worth protecting federally if, that is, Delaware had a SINGLE federal park, which we do not. Sigh.

Damn... Delaware. The only state whose name already hints you have no idea just Dela....where the fuck it is. Where we do a brisk business selling fox hats to visitors who, upon informing their loved ones "I'm in Delaware," are immediately told by their far-flung friends, "Delaware... Wear the fox hat!"

We have stands at the border who sell the hats, which are handcrafted by local hatters, and is the second largest industry behind laughing at some zinger Joe Biden just came out with.
