(297,503 posts)I read she said she was there to thank him for his "wonderful propaganda machine". lol I don't think those were the words she used, though.

(23,946 posts)She was a small actor and Russians did only small ad buys and social media fake news.
The real purpose was to "sow discord and division" in America and distrust of election outcomes and Stein was deemed worthy of also being a minor target in furtherance of the master plan.

(129,339 posts)In 2012, she got 2,162 votes in Philly & (21,341 statewide). But in 2016, she got 6,679 votes in Philly & (49,941 statewide).
I.e., her margin alone would have flipped the state of PA.

(23,946 posts)But how many did the Green Party get, same thing.

(19,240 posts)In the old days, the GOP had to resort to code to get its donors to each pay their $2000 to someone like Nader in order to get a third party splitter on the ballot so that e-vote hackers could siphon 4-5% of the Dem vote and give it to the third party splitter, changing the election outcome.
Now, with Citizen United, one Russia mobster, or Sheldon Addelson or the Kochs can single handedly finance a third party splitter. I am betting that Stein did not get nearly as many votes as people think she did--and that many of the Greens know that they are stealing votes from Dems, and that they justify it by saying "If things are bad enough, then we will have a revolution"

Dennis Trainor Jr., who worked for the Stein campaign from January to August of 2015, says Stein contacted him on Friday saying the Senate Intelligence Committee had requested that the campaign comply with a document search.
Trainor, who served as the campaigns communications director and acting manager during that time, told BuzzFeed News that he was informed of the committees request because during his time on the campaign, his personal cell phone was a primary point of contact for those looking to reach Stein or the campaign. That included producers from RT News, the Russian state-funded media company that booked Stein for several appearances, Trainor said.
Then I was told by Jill just to wait for further instructions, Trainor said, adding that he was told the campaign would contact him in the next week with details, presumably from the Senate Intelligence Committee, of how to execute the document search, including precise search terms. That has not happened yet, Trainor said.
