(33,606 posts)a Dem has to lead by at least 5 points to win.
workinclasszero
(28,270 posts)That can happen.
Dems need a huge turnout, lets hope it happens.

(8,652 posts)These types of posts of "your vote won't really count" is what the other side wants.
I am always skeptical of these "depress the vote" posts, close to a very important election, from a low post count DUer without a gold star contribution. Well, just saying.
We're trying to get the vote out and your posting the election is fixed.

(99,711 posts)Do we get a moral victory or a real one ? The Republican congressman who retired won that district by 37 points in 2016. This race wasn't on the radar a month ago.
The whole overarching theme of the Rocky franchise is winning is great but so so is giving your best and losing valiantly.

(1,134 posts)Hell, I'm 30 minutes away and wish I could vote in it! But I've seen how the Ohio Repukes operate for some 55 years. My hopes are sky high, but ask President Kerry about Ohio!

and it is posted on a Democratic web site, it can only be to depress the vote.
Why else do I need to read that bull shit?

(6,377 posts)It bothers the hell out of me when I see someone say something like "Yeah, Scott Walker is trailing by 11 points in the latest poll, but we'll see what happens when Walker gets to rig the final count."
Just stop. That's absolutely absurd.

(15,951 posts)it will be yet another example that the GOP is in serious trouble if they have to go all out to defend a seat that should be there's for the asking.

(99,711 posts)Even if we lose by 5 that's a 32 point improvement over 2016. If we run 32 points ahead of 2016 in every congressional district we will have the greatest mid terms in the history of the republic.
workinclasszero
(28,270 posts)I'm praying that's exactly what we are going to have in the midterms.
We need a HUGE, historic turnout to save this country from Russian/GOP fascism.
If dems get the House and Senate back, Dotard better pack his bags and flee to mother Russia if he doesn't want to spend the rest of his life in a cell in Leavenworth anyway.

(10,837 posts)when the polls are tight as a tick. It opens the door for electoral chicanery which the Republicans have proven themselves very adept.
That being said, the very fact that O'Connor is running neck to neck in this district, that the Republicans have thrown excessive amounts of money at the race, and that they're already constructing excuses means . . .
They are very, very worried about an election debacle.
Which means GOTV will mean everything tomorrow and into November's elections. I'm rooting for O'Connor but either way this improbable race-to-the-finish concludes it's a terrific sign for the Democratic Party and our 'Save the Country' mission.
Eyes on the Prize!
