With any luck, and a strong GOTV effort, we'll be able to block Trump's nonsense effectively. His frustration at being unable to do much of anything may well lead to his resignation.
But, this nation has never seen anything like Donald J. Trump. We're going to be talking about this for a very long time to come.

(1,474 posts)They have embraced trump because he is white (well, orange but my drift is obvious). Obama was an honest and intelligent president. trump is a crook with the IQ of a crockpot. Lebron spent his money helping kids. trump spent his silencing porn stars he had unprotected sex with (while his third wife was pregnant).
The evangelical right has also taken their hoods off. trump gets a Mulligan for cheating on his third wife. Racists, bigots, and faux-Christians have embraced him because he is white.
This two-year period will be in school textbooks, sociology college courses, movies, and comedy skits for the rest of the 21st century. That is if America survives the tsunami of gop traitors and liars trying to destroy her.

(4,609 posts)I've seen a lot of Presidents and Congresses come and go. I've lived through Civil Rights, Assassinations, Vietnam, Watergate, 9/11 and much more. This Trump/Complicit Republican Congress regime is absolutely unprecedented, abnormal and terrifying. Whatever ultimately happens this period will be an huge and epochal chapter in the Nation's history.

This is, by far, the strangest President I've seen. Remarkable!

I foresee a different question in 40 years . . .
