"Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace challenged national security adviser John Bolton about President Trump's tweet on Sunday morning, which blasted journalists and claimed they can "cause war."
Wallace read the tweet back to Bolton, then asked, "What wars have we started?"
Bolton largely avoided the substance of Trump's tweet, instead arguing that press bias "has been around for a long, long time."
Wallace responded that reporters are rightfully called out when they publish inaccurate information, but added that Trump's latest attacks on the media are "taking it to a completely different level."
"Thats the president's view, based on the attacks the media has made," Bolton responded, citing past administrations that have clashed with the media.
"I think this kind of adversarial relationship is typical," he added.

(52,257 posts)This has got to be the stupidest. Yellow journalism is famous for having incited the Spanish-American war, and the media's role in promoting or inciting, or at least failing to do much at all to stop other wars is well-documented.
But this is all a distraction from the real question, which is, is the press largely getting it right when it says things Donnie doesn't like? Personally I think they're still falling short of where they should be because the evidence of Donnie's incompetence, criminality, bad intentions, greed, grift, betrayal, and lack of fitness for office is overwhelming. But when they dare to step their toe in the ocean of facts Donnie doesn't like, they're at least being truthful.
