it's a term that used to be used quite a lot around here, when speaking of the more rabid RW talking heads. They fire up the base about an issue, and some poor rube thinks he's doing God's will by killing somebody. It's gotten a couple of doctors killed because they had the temerity to provide women's health care. They doxxed the Sandy Hook families into seclusion for fear of their lives.

Now, they're doing it to journalists. Sad times when a journalist in America is no safer than one in a 3rd world country.
