Why is it that we are still told that ignorance of the law is no excuse, but President Two Week Vacay can claim he didn't know conspiring with the Russian government to defraud the US is perfectly fine?

You can't get campaign help/contributions of any kind from foreign agents. Not to mention the conspiracy to obstruct and cover it up. You knew it was illegal.

to cover up the attempt to get foreign interference in the election. He's admitting to obstruction now. It'll be another bit of evidence on Mueller's long list.

"This was a meeting to get information on an opponent, totally legal and done all the time in politics...."

It is NOT done all the time coordinating with the successor to the KGB. I suppose that the explanation of that would take more than 140 characters, so it might have escaped his notice.

He realizes that his people carefully plan rallies attended by people ignorant enough to cheer every incoherency he spouts, and thinks Giuliani will take care of the rest.

Trump is one of the few people who can watch Giuliani's rantings on TV, and nod in agreement instead of wondering what in the world Rudy has just said.

I don't really see how Senior repeating what Junior said is big news.

Mueller had that info long ago. Does Mueller have proof that Trump Sr. knew about the meeting and has lied by saying he didn't? That's the big question.

It was Don, Jr. He was in college, and Tramp Sr. Picked him up to attend a pro baseball game. The story is that Jr., appropriately dressed for a game in a team jersey, opened the door to let Tramp in and dad slapped him and ordered him to put on a suit and tie.

To humanize him, to make him a sympathetic character. What a load of shit.

They know he's going down, that he has no defense, and the only way to protect him is to re-imagine him as a man in love.

This works when your base thinks that reality TV is real.

Once the midterms are over, he is going to issue a blanket pardon for everyone involved in this. Until then, he will keep repeating that there were no crimes committed. Then when he issues the pardon, he will say the laws that were violated were fake laws, or something like that. I think he will pardon himself as well. It will be interesting if he pardons Pence (mother would not want that).
