CNN host Don Lemon fired back at President Trump on Saturday after the president sent a tweet attacking Lemon and questioning the intelligence of NBA star LeBron James, whom the CNN host interviewed this week.
Lemon pointed out James's recent decision to open a school in Ohio for at-risk third- and fourth-graders as evidence that the NBA star was no "dummy" ...
"Whos the real dummy? A man who puts kids in classrooms or one who puts kids in cages?" Lemon tweeted Saturday, including the hashtag "Be Best" used by first lady Melania Trump on her anti-bullying campaign.
Lemon himself has been a particular target of Trump in the past ... (Trump) has called Don Lemon the "dumbest man on television."

(26,045 posts)Its a bad look for a CNN reporter to get in a Twitter beef with the president. All it does is reinforce Trumps narrative that your network is biased against him. Really bad move remember the old saying about never get in a wrestling match with a pig? Youll both wind up covered in sh*t...and the pig enjoys it.

(23,340 posts)and something about Lemon drives Trump absolutely crazy. I love it.
and it is probably because a black man with a platform is talking back to him.

The LeBron James tweet is not minor. The President of the United States, a long-proven racist, used his platform to attack two black men last night, one of whom just started a school for at-risk kids. If you're not angry and ashamed for our country right now, we part company.

(58,724 posts)He called Barack Obama "the literal founder of ISIS" repeatedly on television.
In case you missed it at the time:
Donald Trump said Thursday that he meant exactly what he said when he called President Barack Obama the "founder of ISIS" and objected when a conservative radio show host tried to clarify the GOP nominee's position.

(58,724 posts)My approach would be for Lemon and CNN to ignore the tweet and stop reading his tweets on the air, in general.
