Don't send money......thoughts and prayers should suffice, tweeted Kerr, a vocal critic of both the NRA and President Trump.

In the wake of a string of gun-related tragedies earlier this year, lawmakers drew backlash for offering thoughts and prayers to victims instead of acting to pass gun control legislation.
The NRAs recent financial difficulties came to light in a recent lawsuit filed against New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D), the states Department of Financial Services (DFS) and Maria Vullo, New Yorks superintendent of financial services.

Please drive the NRA and its leadership into a pit of angry, poisonous vipers. If no pit is available, dropping them on Snake Island off the coast of Brazil is a nice consolation location

(36,869 posts)The NRA used to be for sportsmen, hunters and gun safety.
Now it has become an industry owned shill for the sale of more guns and the enrichment of its leaders.

(19,204 posts)to influence our politicians, and they're taking Russian money to do it! That's what pisses me off most.
Like you stated, their original mission statement was fine, I had no complaint about them. If they returned to that original mission statement, no problem, but as they exists now? Not a thought or a prayer for them.

(2,937 posts)That's the perfect way to go after these terrible corrupt organizations. This sounds like the first major dent against the NRA and i didn't hear anything about it in the media until now!
Major kudos to the Governor.

(9,451 posts)6 million members. Tens of millions of dollars of conservative political contributions. I get that. What I don't understand is why there isn't a NO-NRA that has ever been formed. If there aren't 10million+ Americans ready to join that and contribute to do battle with the NRA I'd be really surprised.
