His performance at the joint press briefing after that meeting erased any doubts. We don't know what Putin has over him, but it's pretty damned powerful stuff. Yesterday, his entire security team went over his head and declared that they were trying to keep the Russians from interfering in this year's election. That's not Trump's position at all.
But, can they actually do anything without support from the White House? Probably not.
As voters, we need to end this by turning out in unprecedented numbers and overpowering any effect from Russian tampering. We have no other method to block the man in the White House.
We'd better pay attention and exert every possible effort to get overwhelming numbers of Democratic voters to the polls. Unless we do that, we stand a strong chance of losing. And if we lose this next election and fail to regain control of at least one house of Congress, Congress and Trump will be able to implement things that could prevent us from ever having another chance.
Think about this, and plan what you will do for the November election, folks. Really!
