Alejandra Juarez, the wife of an Iraq War combat veteran, was deported on Friday after a desperate effort to remain in the U.S.
After being notified of her deportation date by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and with few options left, Alejandra recently wrote a letter to President Donald Trump pleading with him to let her stay in the US. She hoped her husbands war record might persuade the president to intervene.
But Alejandras calls for leniency have seemingly gone unanswered and she boarded a plane at Orlando International Airport on Friday morning bound for Mexico, where shes originally from.
Prior to going through the security checkpoint at the airport on Friday, she offered a short message to Trump: I hope this makes you happy, she said. May God forgive you.

(3,732 posts)I read in the Guardian that her husband voted for Trump. People are stabbing their loved ones in the back.

(29,205 posts)but leaving her older daughter and husband here?
I can't imagine making that decision. I can't imagine their pain.
The husband apparently was a Trump supporter... but told his wife before "not to worry, Trump won't be targeting you"...
I have sympathy for the wife and small daughter... but not a lot for the husband.
