but I sure hope he wins. Kansas needs a break and it would be awesome to live with the balance of power going left.

2. A poll was just done with Thompson down about 4 points.....

Given the margin of error it's nearly even. This given the fact that Trump won in the district that Thompson is running in by about 20 points 1.5 years ago.

Ron Estes is a known figure here and that actually means no more than, "Well I know who that guy is and since he is an R I will vote for him."

I will be pulling for him as I watch the returns and hope for Laura Kelly to get the win.

So Thompson hasn't really started running media ads yet. He has a lot of backing and has been campaigning since the day after the Nov 2016 election. He lost last time by 6 when it was supposed to be 20 in a very short election cycle to fill Pompeo's seat.
