1. Jim Carrey is proving again

that he is a treasure.

Mind you, I think he went a bit nuts after he played Andy Kaufman (method acting is not recommended for doing a documentary on a possibly insane person).

but these paintings he has done recently have been spot on

2. You're spot on with your assessment

I would encourage any fan of Jim or Kauffman to watch the Netflix documentary "Jim & Andy", it clearly shows how far Jim pushed that role.

My family has a crazy connection to professional wrestling from the 70's/80's and Jerry Lawler was and is a close family friend. Jim treated Jerry on set of "Man on the Moon" like Andy did during the bit they played out together and Jerry was like "Dude, Andy was my friend...chill out" and Jim pushed him to the point that there was a physical altercation between them on set.
