(81,440 posts)He sure doesn't act like an innocent man. Anyone who really did not collude or otherwise climb into bed with Putin and give aid and comfort to an enemy - would welcome any investigation because they'd be confident that nothing would turn up.
Maybe that's why the Clintons didn't try repeatedly and deliberately to sabotage any of the umpteen-thousand "investigations" of them. I heard one talking head a few days ago ask - HOW MANY indictments in the Benghazi probe? ZERO. HOW MANY indictments in the "but her emails!" inquisition? ZERO. How many here, so far? Oh, only about a few DOZEN.
As Michael Avenatti said, when he FIRST came on the scene months ago: "Those who have nothing to hide - hide nothing." Hell, even Trey Gowdy broadly inferred that trump isn't acting like an innocent man. Recommended that trump act like one (which of course, we all know he CAN'T).

(81,440 posts)That's eight in a single tweet.
The Washington Post and the New York Times have been trying to keep a running tally of how many times trump lies. They've each come up with tentative totals of several thousand. I think those figures they give are extremely modest. I think it's more like you add a zero to the end of whatever number either paper figured.

I was going to say "nickname," but Donnie Two Shoes doesn't use nicknames, he just prefixes the person's name with some derogatory term. Dubya was also a bully--albeit an amateur one by Trump standards--and called people by nicknames (e.g., Karl Rove was "Turdblossom" ) rather than their given ones as a way to diminish them.
This tweet looks like he just uses macros for certain terms: "Crooked Hillary" "headed by 13 Angry Democrats" "Witch Hunt!" "rigged election" "rigged investigation" "fraudulent Dossier" and of course his favorite, "No Collusion!"

(3,438 posts)..ordered that they be .held hostage, warehoused in sub human conditions as we have Sen images of children in cages sleeping on concrete floors; as report of the rape of 6yr child, other atocities of children under his charge are beginning to surface and he's the victim?
Trump involvement, his direct or indirect orders orders to Russia attack on our election, attack on,DNC may not being him down, yet when it comes to crimes against children there is no perdon, no forgiveness for him. Trump must be charged with crimes against humanity and or impeached based on said crimes and held accountable for any and all abuses experienced by these children....
When it comes to the well-being of children, noone gets a pass not trump, his admin who blindly followed his order to assault, abduct children; not Pence who literally sthands behind trump nodding his head in approval, applauding trump's maldad, evilness--his silence is acceptance. Pence is an accessory to crimes against children; the gop, turned there back on innocent children, they are not only complicit but are Christian hypocritas..that have failed each and every child.

Obviously, there's an element of the old "repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth" that's at play here, and the fact that it provides FOX News its minimum daily requirement of cognitive malnutrition, but Trump loves pissing contests, and when his nemesis doesn't play along, it eats at him endlessly.

The evidence doesnt prove collusion. But it sure suggests it.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/the-evidence-doesnt-prove-collusion-but-it-sure-suggests-it/2018/07/25/1c3ebba0-902e-11e8-b769-e3fff17f0689_story.html?noredirect=on&utm_term=.4f49d115f78c
President Trumps mantra is no collusion, something he says as if sheer, mind-numbing repetition can make it true. The president is faithfully echoed by the likes of House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.), who insists theres no evidence of collusion. In reality, while there is not yet proof of collusion (thats special counsel Robert S. Mueller IIIs job), there is copious evidence of it and that evidence grows more damning by the day.
In Helsinki, Russian President Vladimir Putin admitted he wanted Trump to win something Trump continues to deny to this day. Putin was more than a well-wisher from afar: His intelligence services ran an extensive operation designed to help Trump, including social media propaganda and hacks of Democratic emails. As I argued earlier, there is strong reason to believe that Trump wouldnt be president without Russian help.
While this was going on, the Moscow Project of the Center for American Progress reports, there were 82 known contacts between the Trump team and Russia-linked operatives. None of these contacts were ever reported to the proper authorities, according to the project. Team Trump tried to conceal all of them.

(5,625 posts)If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.
