It didn't look like the US coach was going to do anything about the results, until Caroli stood up and insisted there be a recount by judges.

I actually saw the US coach in response to Bela's shouting that they review the scores just look at him, shrug his shoulders, and ask "What for?" Fortunately Karolyi is a hothead and kept screaming.

I could not believe that the US coach did not seem to fully understand what the issue was. I assume there will be a lot of discussion in the US gymnastics world about the fact he didn't know what he was doing in that moment and didn't know he needed to file the protest.

If Karolyi had not been in the audience she would not have received the bronze.

Thank goodness the inquiry forced the judges to watch a replay & record their individual score for each of Aly's moves.
