Also, some other outrageous thing will take center stage & this will blow over in a few days, & the fact that the US president spoke in a treasonous manner will have become normalized to a huge number of our fellow citizens.

i suppose i can see this as a clarifying moment for some, but there's really no news here, he was so obviously a russian agent before, what exactly about this was a surprise?

shouldn't the glowing praise for kim jong un have been a hint?

There is 0.0% oversight from congressional republicans and as long as they control the agenda, they may wring their hands about it they'll take no action.

They are terrified of the mob we call his base.

And his base is willing to stick with him as long as he's the white guy getting America back on the right (white) track. In the end, his base hates "darkies" (anyone not white) more than they hate Russians.

So yeah - in a hopefully snark free (as much as possible) response - he can survive.

Not only survive, but thrive.

It's an American problem, not a .45 problem.

It's his rubes and marks that are the danger to society; the malignancy. He's just a symptom.

And might I add No Collusion?

Great question! Thanks for posing it.

It will definitely hurt Trump. Exactly how much is difficult to say. But I am confident that the damage will be severe.

His supporters do not care about the US, they care about winning the internet troll wars. They do not care about Democracy, they care about making brown people and liberals suffer.

They are called Deplorables for a reason. It's not just that they are racist, homophobic, jesus-lovin' buttholes - they also enjoy an absence of even a modicum of intelligence.

Which, he probably will. They clearly have no loyalty to the Constitution, nor the principles upon which this nation was founded.

Putin is totally transactional. He wouldn’t hesitate to burn his orange asset in a second. Today, the table was set to completely destabilize the United States. We know Russia hacked into the voter databases in at least 23 states in 2016. If they do it in 2018 and change just one number of the social security numbers of tens of thousands of registered democrats in key states, the election can be blatantly stolen and American society will melt down. Don the Con helped Putin finish setting the table for just that scenario today.
