(115,693 posts)doesn't require establishing or alleging who benefited. The crime charged in the indictment is the hack, and it's not necessary to allege the result in order to charge the crime. The indictment would also have to contain credible allegations that the people being indicted did the crime. The result may have occurred, but maybe someone else was responsible, and further indictments will be forthcoming.

I'm going with Hacker groups right here in the USA.
There were similar questions of discrepancies in previous elections.
The machine hacking did indeed take place, if it wasn't the 12 Russians named today, then we start looking at groups in the US.
And there are certainly a few.
Diebold & the aging voting machines, for starters..
This DNC hack & voter data theft is one step that will eventually lead to Mercers, DeVos/Spectrum & eventually who affected the machine tallies in Key States.
