This is all leading up to Russia invading and the GOP Congress sitting on its ass doing nothing.

After the Baltics, expect Poland, the rest of Ukraine, Georgia, possibly into the Balkans again. Right-wing successes in Austria are a lure to the megalomaniac.

But this is all looking at the future through the ancient lens of history. Wars were waged mainly on land and sea. Now we can send missiles around the world and have them very precisely targeted to inflict the most pain.

Pick one city in the US in the 500,000-1,000,000 range and take out its major infrastructure. How would our current POS react? The repuglicons can still sit on their thumbs since it isn't their call ("wage war"?). My guess is that the peeresident* would immediately capitulate and sue for peace (as long as he gets his real-estate IOUs cancelled.)
