Florida Gov. Rick Scott will speak at the Republican National Convention in Tampa this month, the GOP announced Monday.
As the Republican governor of a crucial swing state thats hosting the convention, Scotts inclusion is to be expected. But Scotts consistent underwater approval ratings and the fact that he hasnt appeared at any events with presumptive nominee Mitt Romney have raised questions about how prominent a role hell play when the GOP showcases itself to a national audience.
The GOP announced a first wave of speakers Monday that besides Scott included 2008 presidential nominee John McCain, former Secretary of State and potential Romney running mate Condoleezza Rice and former Arkansas Gov. 2008 presidential candidate Mike Huckabee.
Govs. Nikki Haley of South Carolina, Susana Martinez of New Mexico and John Kasich of Ohio are also on the early list of speakers.
More speakers, including the keynoter, will be announced in coming weeks, convention organizers said. The convention roles of Floridas two most popular Republicans, Sen. Marco Rubio and former Gov. Jeb Bush, have not been made public.

A vote for Mitt Romney is a vote for Rick Scott!
If this is done, either Mitt would run from Rick, or get stuck to him, and that opens the doors for ten thousand ads.

Thousands of Police and Military troops will line the streets of Tampa.. to make sure that the Family-Value Evangelical Republican Delegates can travel un-impaired to the local strip Clubs and Lap Dance joints.
