OK, so it's only his high school report card:

(2,526 posts)I have done a 180 since high school. I wouldn't want someone to judge me based on my grades and antics from those days.
So I won't do the same to anyone else.

(7,290 posts)A teenager's report card is indicative of how ambitious he'll be as an adult, or will be the basis for deciding whether or not he or she can get a job done?

(4,447 posts)Zero. I had a 2.65 GPA in high school. My doctoral GPA was a 3.89.
I'm a whole lot more concerned with what MittWit did since high school than what he did in high school. He apparently developed a great deal of ambition, curiosity, and desire to get the job done when his job was to buy out companies, gut them, send their jobs overseas, and sell them off, leaving an empty shell where a productive company once stood. Frankly, I wish the SOB had stayed a slacker.

(6 posts)Mitt's great-grandparents were polygamists who lived in a Mormon colony called Colonia Dublán in Galeana, Chihuahua, Mexico to avoid US laws again polygamy. Mitt's father, George Romney was born inMexico. His grandfather (Mitt's great grandfather) Helaman Pratt, had four wives - one of which was his own daughter as well. So Mitt's grandmother is also his great-grandmother . Some of the family still lives in Colonia Dublán and practices polygamy to this day. It does make me chortle when I hear Mitt or his supporters talking about the Family Value of One Man/One Woman marriage. Methinks the bloodline's thinning out a bit too much and the world would be better off if his kids took vows of chastity. Sort of "Hey You! Outta da gene pool!"

Thanks in advance.

(6 posts)I had read the story in a news article and clipped it out, but in trying to trace the Romney family geneology just now, it seems the article had a misprint, or was just ambiguously worded. Mitt's grandmother, Ann Amelia Pratt Romney, was the daughter of Anna Johanna Dorothy Wilcken Pratt (known as Dora), one of two sisters that were included among Helaman Pratt's wives. The other three were Emeline Billingsly Pratt, Bertha Christine Wicken Stewart Pratt, Dora's younger sister, and Eliza Christina Carolina Reiche Pratt.
BTW, Helaman Pratt's father (Mitt's great-great-grandfather), Parley P. Pratt, had 12 wives, 30 children, and 266 grandchildren, according to Wikipedia. As of 2011, estimates of Parley's living descendents run from 30,000 to 50,000.
Talk about overpopulating the planet! Parley was a major player.

And I don't see any history or citizenship classes. What's up with that?
